Charles I. Billman commits to providing sound, straightforward counsel based on an honest and holistic view of a client’s circumstances and goals. Charley takes the time to listen and truly understand each client’s concerns and hopes to efficiently craft tailored, practical solutions for individuals and businesses.
Charley’s practice spans multiple legal disciplines, including family law, criminal law, real estate, business litigation, business compliance, habeas corpus, and appellate matters. He focuses on the core issues and interests that lay at the heart of a problem, considering the big picture and small details in equal measure.
A native of McLean, Virginia, Charley graduated from the University of Virginia before earning his law degree from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. He joined Harrison & Johnston in 2019 after working for many years in Washington, D.C.
Charley has lived in Bluemont, Virginia with his wife and their two children since 2004. He is grateful for the perspective and peace that comes from spending time in the area’s mountains and forests and appreciates the sense of community in Winchester and the Shenandoah Valley. Charley is grateful his work is grounded in building personal relationships and serving his neighbors when they have legal needs.
When he is not in the office, Charley likes to spend his time working in the yard, tending paths through the forest or walking along the river with his wife, coaching youth sports, and serving as a sofa pillow for his big brown dog.
