A formidable litigator and thoughtful counselor in equal measure, Timothy M. Mayfield is a general practice attorney who assists his clients with a wide range of business and personal matters that profoundly impact their lives.
Tim’s multidisciplinary practice includes domestic relations, criminal law, business and personal litigation, estate planning and administration, and business formation. He provides guidance and representation that focuses on addressing each client’s unique concerns and developing approaches tailored to achieve their goals expeditiously and cost-effectively.
A Shenandoah Valley native, Tim graduated from the University of Virginia in 2000 before earning his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2003. After practicing briefly in Oregon, Tim returned home to Winchester in 2005 and joined Harrison & Johnson in 2011. Active in many professional organizations, he has served as President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Winchester/Frederick County Bar Association.
In addition to his professional affiliations, Tim is an active member of the Winchester community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Laurel Center after serving as its president for several terms. He also currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the Clermont Foundation and is on the boards of the Winchester Musica Viva and the ChildSafe Center.
His community involvement extends to his family’s commitment to Grace Lutheran Church, where he has served as a lay-leader and has sung in the choir for many years. Tim has also sung tenor with Winchester Musica Viva, a semi-professional chamber choir, for more than 20 years. He also takes great pride in being an Eagle Scout and even more pride in being an active leader of Pack/Troop 2.
